SQLBits 2026 – Vote for who you want to see!

It’s that time of year again, I submitted a session for SQLBits and I’m waiting to see if it’s gets chosen. In recent years, session selection has been performed by a select group of volunteers (including myself).
This year, session selection is being put to the “public vote”. This means that everyone can choose what sessions that they want to see. Up to 30 sessions across a wide range of topics.
Over the years, I’ve learned a lot by reading other people’s code. Not just copy / pasting code but looking into techniques for doing things / how they are laid out. Design patterns, thought patterns, coding standards, it’s all in there for the learning.
All this talk of AI, where does all that information come from? So much better to understand the reasoning to grow your own experience.
I’ve submitted a session on this subject and if you want to hear it then I’d love to get your vote.
